Day 15 - Drive by Pic

I know many of you may cringe when I tell you that I took this photo shooting through the front windshield of the van while my hubby was driving down the highway going 120 km/hr. But ya know, when you're a photo buff like me, ya learn to snap on the go :-) I love this shot! The prairies are so incredibly beautiful and especially the river valleys. On a day with no sun and fog, there is beauty in itself and this was one of those days. I love the red of the bridge against the white of everything else.

Day 14 - Basketball

I think Basketball is one of the hardest sports to shoot. I did ok on this photo but I know I have a lot to learn about shooting this sport. It's good that I don't shoot these events professionally...just when my boy is playing. :-) But, any tips on taking better photos of Basketball? I don't have a huge lens with a wide opening, which I know would be more helpful...but how can I take better pics with what I got? I really do like the action I got in this picture though. :-)

Day 13 - The Cross

We had just changed moved the furniture around in one of the bedrooms and I had put the lamps on by the bed and really liked the effect of the light on the photo of the cross that hung above the bed.

Day 12 - Poster Time

One of my girls is on the SRC at her school so her and her sister are having a wonderful "getting along moment" and creating great posters together. Creativity is a wonderful thing...rather than just sitting in front of a box zoned out. :-) lol I love it when my kids are creative and not fighting.

Day 11 - Play??

Copper realized that he can now climb the snow hill up against our fence and "speak" to the dog next door :-) PLAY?? ARF!! It's quite funny. Sometimes he puts his paws on the ledge of the fence on the other side and it looks like he's ready to jump over but he never does. If you look close, you can see the face of the other dog in the bottom right corner. It's hilarious watching the two. :-) It's times like these that make our cold winters a little more enjoyable.

Day 10 - Pic 4 Memories of Peace & Quiet at the Lake

Yep, this is Day 10 of this photo project I've taken on and only 4 photos loaded. I was wondering if I'd be able to post a photo each day. :-) Oh well, it's still fun.
Oh how I love this place...our getaway haven. :-) Everything was such an incredible blue on this particular morning. No, I didn't take this photo today but I sure am yearning to be there. I took it back in November and now it is covered in snow....here, just a layer of ice was on the water with no snow. I'd never seen the lake like that before.
